A 41-year-old woman from Meqheleng near Ficksburg appeared in the Ficksburg Magistrates’ Court on Monday (10/07).
She was charged with the possession of unlicenced firearms and ammunition and the possession of housebreaking tools.
On Friday (07/07) at approximately 10:40 the police were summoned to a house at extension 11, Meqheleng for investigation.
During the search at the house, they found three gas cylinders, bags containing clothes, two-way radios, two 9mm firearms together with 11 live rounds, as well as balaclavas and pairs of gloves.
They also found a black BMW, Chevrolet Sedans with GP registrations and a white Isuzu bakkie with an FS registration.
All above items have been seized as exhibit in commission of suspected business burglary in the Free State during June 2023.
All three vehicles are currently under inquiry with the Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit.
