Vrystaat Nuus/News envisions a community in the Eastern Free State
in which people of different backgrounds and languages are informed about their
community and its needs.
in which people of different backgrounds and languages are informed about their
community and its needs.
The
newspaper publishes a weekly prayer list.
This week’s list is
dedicated to:
- freedom
of religion in South Africa and in those countries forced to follow religions
that are not their choice (especially North Korea); - students returning to tertiary
institutions – to be free to study without riots and fear; - employees at local, provincial and
national government level, to learn to work focused on their duties and
communities, not themselves; - good mentorship to be provided to new
interns who are doing their community service at healthcare institutions; - the healing of stereotypes between
different churches; -
the land to be healed of too little or
too much rain and for drought-relief initiatives to be free of corruption; -
world leaders to respect people and
nature; -
people who are alone and do not have
family or friends; -
the safety of women and children
affected by poverty; -
the hope
that all will see who Christ really is and experience Him; and -
the belief in Jesus to fix problems in
the world.
