Two suspects were arrested in Maokeng, Kroonstad, after dagga with an estimated value of R1 000, as well as other drugs to the value of R17 000, was found in their possession.
Members of the Maokeng Crime Prevention team investigated a lead on 19 April that drugs were being sold in Constantia Park, Kroonstad. At the identified house, they seized 90 bags containing crystal meth and 71 bags of dagga.
Before being arrested, the suspects tried to bribe the officers. Both appeared in the Kroonstad Magistrates’ Court on Friday (21/04) on charges of possessing substances like drugs and dagga, as well as bribery.
