A peaceful protest regarding the ongoing water crisis in Bethlehem and its surrounding areas was launched by the DA.

On 2 December the political party and members of the community protested peacefully in front of the Dihlabeng Municipality’s offices, where they handed over a memorandum with their grievances against the ongoing water crisis.

“Clearly the Dihlabeng Municipality does not provide water to the community as prescribed. This is due to poor planning, poor budgeting, as well as poor maintenance,” says Cllr Willie Theunissen, DA Dihlabeng caucus leader.

“The infighting within the ANC has been the thorn in the flesh of all service delivery issues the community experiences.”
