I was about five years old when my biggest mission in life was to understand what they do at a municipality.
I drove my parents crazy with questions on what is happening in one of the biggest buildings at that time in Reitz.
Well, I can hear the well-meant joke already – they do absolutely nothing.
We all know and should know that that is not the truth.
As you get older and go down the path of age and wisdom you get to understand that energy is a wonderful thing and that with a positive attitude you can get much further in life, and you just might be a happier person spreading the joy of being human every day.
Today (20/07) was such a day.
It never is fun to deal with administrative jobs.
Well, I for one hate it.
That is why I need people at the municipality to give me the information and procedures to get on with business.
The team at the Dihlabeng Local Municipality HQ was a delight – they greeted me back when I greeted them, they smiled and asked how they could assist, they were patient with me since I did not have all the information they required, but they really pushed through to give me exactly what I needed.
All the women showed teamwork and a professional service was provided, and I salute them.
We absolutely must see the bright side of life.
