Two suspects are charged for being in the possession of stolen goods after the Kroonstad Highway Patrol caught them with 12 truck tires to the estimated value of R100 000.
On Saturday, 11 February, at about 04:00 the Kroonstad Highway Patrol was busy with a stop and search on the N1 about 10 km outside Kroonstad, when they became suspicious of a Toyota Quantum bus with tinted windows. They stopped the vehicle for investigation and found the 12 truck tires. The two suspects could not give proof of purchase or other documentation requested and were arrested on the spot.
The case will be investigated and the two men (40 and 45 years old) will appear in the local Magistrate’s Court soon.
