Slalom South African Championship is held on the Ash River. This event is exciting to spectators and one of the few national sporting events in the Eastern Free State.
11 February:
Die Charlotte Theron-kinderhuis hou ’n Valentynsdans om 18:00 vir 18:30 by Wesselsstraat 46 in Bethlehem. The Oudskoliere sportsklub is hosting a 10’s rugby and 5’s a side netball challenge. Costs are R1 000 per netbal team of 10 players. For rugby teams the cost is R1 500 per team of 14 players. It includes a breakfast at Watashi Spur at 7:30. It will take place at Witteberg High School and starts at 8:30. Entries close on 4 February 2017. Café Chocolat Theatre in Ficksburg helds a Valentines Dinner and Dance with music by Salomi. Die Pathways skool vir gestremdes in Bethlehem wat in Februarie 10 jaar oud word, vier die geleentheid by Lavender Hill. Dit beloof om ‘n baie unieke ervaring vir elkeen te wees. Mense gaan in die skoene van gesiggestremdes wees – dit beteken alles gaan stikdonker wees en gaste word nie toegelaat om enige juwele, handsakke of selfone saam te bring nie. Hulle gaan vermaak word deur Hein Wagner en ‘n driegangete gaan deur 12 blinde kelners voorgesit word. Wagner is blind gebore, maar het al die Ysterman, Antartica-maraton, Cape Epic-bergfietswedren en Cape to Rio seilbootresies voltooi. Benewens dit het hy die blinde landspoedrekord opgestel deur 322km/h met ‘n Mercedes te ry. Die toegang is ‘n R2000 per persoon donasie aan die skool. Andras Findt Spares Cricket Legends Day hosted by Thabo Mofutsanyana District Cricket Sub Union (TMDC) will take place at Bethlehem Voortrekker High School. This will be the second annual Legends Day. This promising event will kick off with the Voortrekker Legends VS Witterberg Legends followed by the Free State Legends VS Eastern Free State Legends.
