With the school holidays in full swing, children have been enjoying some time away from the classroom. As exciting as it is that children have some time to rest and have fun, it is also a question on how can they be entertained.
Consider these options for something you might not have chosen before as activities for children to do, or even for parents to enjoy with their children.
Have movie marathon. Children love movies, even most adults do enjoy movie binging, and it can be something done together as a family.
Attempt some DIY (do it yourself). Giving your living space a new lease on life by involving the whole family nurtures a valuable feeling of belonging and shared ownership.
Making bead bracelets and gifting them to friends and family is not only fun – children benefit from crafting as it helps improve a child’s concentration and ability to follow instructions.
Children can be allowed to help with chores. Just be sure these are age appropriate. Family chore time can also be arranged. Children love helping, and letting them do whatever little they can, encourages independence. The key is to make it fun, so hold competitions and allow the winner of the day to choose a special treat.
Make a little slip and slide for the children – it is a fun way for them to cool off.
