The stage is set for the 2025 edition of Bloem Show, with dates having been confirmed. Next year’s show will take place from 25 April to 3 May in Bloemfontein under the theme “Carnival”.
Elmarie Prinsloo, Bloem Show’s chief executive officer (CEO), said planning was being done to ensure the success of the annual event.
“Planning for the 2025 Bloem Show has already kicked off – save the date! The agricultural championships are already fully booked,” she said.
The show was set up 142 years ago with agriculture as the driving force.
Prinsloo said booking for other exhibitions would officially open on Thursday, 15 August.
Forecasting on next year’s show, she said the prospects were favourable to raise the bar.
“Next year’s show promises to offer an opportunity for all to attend with three public holidays, on 27 and 28 April, as well as 1 May. Apart from the long weekend of three days, there is the recess on 2 May, also declared as a school holiday week,” said Prinsloo.
Prinsloo is optimistic about the continual benchmarking of the show’s stature as a catalyst for socio-economic development in the Free State capital.
“It is an ideal platform where businesspeople, farmers, and visitors meet annually to do business, strengthen business ties, and socially interact. It is a one-stop place for entertainment and leisure with friends and family,” said Prinsloo.
